To empower 5th to 7th class schoolgirls and female staff through self-defense training and to promote menstrual hygiene awareness while honoring women in public service.

Objective:

To empower 5th to 7th class schoolgirls and female staff through self-defense training and to promote menstrual hygiene awareness while honoring women in public service.

Action Plan:

1. Planning & Coordination

Identify the school and coordinate with the administration (Kanya Vidyalaya, Waghire, Pimpri).

Finalize trainers (Naresh Mehtre & Pallavi Patil) for self-defense.

Arrange sanitary napkins for distribution.

Coordinate with police departments for hygiene distribution.

Assign roles to volunteers (Roopali Paraswar, Pratik Pillai, and team).

 

2. Self-Defense Training for Schoolgirls & Female Staff

Conduct an interactive self-defense workshop for 5th to 7th class girls and female staff.

Teach basic defense techniques and real-life safety skills.

Encourage participation through practical demonstrations.

 

3. Menstrual Hygiene Awareness & Sanitary Napkin Distribution

Educate schoolgirls and female staff on proper menstrual hygiene.

Distribute sanitary napkins to 80 girls and teachers.

Extend distribution to women traffic police officers and female police personnel at Pimpri Police Station.

 

4. Recognizing Women in Public Service

Honor women sanitation workers and traffic police officers for their dedication.

Conduct a small felicitation to appreciate their contributions.

 

5. Media & Publicity

Capture event photos/videos for documentation.

Publish a press release highlighting key activities.

Share updates on social media and Shreekara World Foundation’s website.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Ms. Papori Palkar, Chairperson and Founder Director of Shreekara World Foundation, extended her heartfelt gratitude to her team and conveyed her best wishes to all women. As part of its commitment to women’s empowerment, Shreekara World Foundation also distributed sanitary napkins to girls from Zilla Parishad schools, promoting menstrual hygiene awareness. Additionally, a self-defense training session was conducted to equip young girls with essential skills to enhance their safety and confidence.
