Project Nirmal
Project Nirmal – Shreekara World Foundation
“Cleanliness is a hallmark of a healthy and prospering society.” With this guiding principle, Shreekara World Foundation has launched Project Nirmal, an initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene across communities in India. The project is dedicated to spreading awareness, encouraging public participation, and supporting the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission, which envisions a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous nation.
A clean environment is not just about aesthetic appeal—it is a vital requirement for public health. When surroundings are neglected and waste accumulates, diseases spread easily, affecting families, communities, and the economy at large. An unhealthy society cannot progress, and ensuring cleanliness is the first step toward building a resilient, thriving nation.
Through Project Nirmal, Shreekara World Foundation organizes cleanliness drives, educational campaigns, and community initiatives that emphasize the importance of maintaining hygienic surroundings. Volunteers from across the country are encouraged to take part in cleaning public spaces, schools, parks, and neighborhoods, and to spread the message of responsible waste management.
The foundation celebrates Gandhi Jayanti every year by contributing to the Swachh Bharat Mission, in honor of Mahatma Gandhi’s belief that cleanliness is essential to self-discipline and national development. The initiative reinforces that a clean environment leads to better health, which in turn fosters a sound mind and productive society.
The primary objective of Project Nirmal is to create awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and waste disposal, and to actively support government efforts aimed at achieving a Swachh Bharat. By encouraging citizens, students, and community groups to participate, the project helps instill a culture of responsibility and collective action.
Project Nirmal also emphasizes that cleanliness is not a one-time effort but a continuous practice that must be adopted in everyday life. Workshops, discussions, and awareness sessions educate people about how to reduce plastic use, segregate waste, and maintain clean surroundings at home and in public areas.
Shreekara World Foundation believes that every individual can make a difference. Even small actions like keeping one’s surroundings clean, educating others, and participating in community drives contribute to larger change. The organization empowers volunteers and local communities to lead cleanliness campaigns and be role models for others.
With Project Nirmal, Shreekara World Foundation aims to create a movement rooted in care, awareness, and action. The initiative strengthens the bond between citizens and their environment while supporting national goals for health, sustainability, and well-being.
Together, we can build a cleaner India—one where health flourishes, communities thrive, and every individual contributes toward creating a better tomorrow. Project Nirmal is not just a campaign; it’s a commitment to a healthier and happier nation. Join us in embracing cleanliness and supporting the mission of Swachh Bharat!
