To provide food and other essentials to the poverty-stricken, COVID-19 affected needy families in Mangaldoi district of Assam in order to alleviate hunger and malnutrition.
Around the world, people are facing difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The worst sufferers are the daily wagers from economically weaker sections so much so that even the necessities like food and medicines have become a luxury for some. COVID-19 has exacerbated hunger and poverty in India. As Assam, a northeastern state of India, has been dealing with the surge of COVID-19 cases, the poverty-stricken families are fighting a daily battle against hunger. Children are prone to malnutrition due to shortage of food. We, as an organization, feel deeply about destitute and therefore, want to support them by providing food and essentials.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
To provide food and other essentials to the poverty-stricken, COVID-19 affected needy families in Mangaldoi district of Assam in order to alleviate hunger and malnutrition.
ACTION PLAN
Identify underprivileged COVID-19 affected families who are genuinely in need of support and arrange for ration kits which shall include food items, vitamins and face masks.
