Annual Seed and Sapling Distribution | Palghar, Maharashtra | 6th June 2025
On the occasion of World Environment Day
Honouring the Sons of the Soil – A Heartfelt Offering to Our Farmers
Under its flagship rural empowerment initiative BHUMIPUTRA, the Shreekara World Foundation joyously carried out the Annual Seed Distribution Drive on 6th June 2025 in Palghar, Maharashtra, coinciding with World Environment Day—a day that celebrates the guardians of our Earth.
With folded hands and grateful hearts, our volunteers distributed high-quality seeds to dozens of hardworking farmers, whose lives and livelihoods form the heartbeat of Bharat. As a gesture of love for Mother Earth and in reverence to the service of our annadatas, each farmer also received three saplings Jamun, Kokum, and Ashoka deeply symbolic of resilience, nourishment, and peace.
These saplings are more than just trees. They are blessings for future generations. They are the silent prayers for prosperity, rooted in the sacred soil of India. They represent Shreekara’s humble effort to merge sustainability with seva, farming with forestation, and gratitude with action.
The humble homes of Palghar echoed with joy as elders, mothers, and children participated in this small yet meaningful celebration of life. The smiles captured in these moments remind us that the true wealth of our nation lies in its farmers, and their empowerment is our sacred responsibility.
As the trees grow, may our bond with the Earth and her keepers grow even deeper.
With gratitude and devotion,
Shreekara World Foundation
